Advanced Trainee Reaches Out to Students During ACG Meeting

November 5, 2010 – During the American College of Gastroenterology annual meeting in San Antonio, advanced EUS trainee, Dr. Eddie Irions, participated in an outreach program that educated local high school students about choosing the right career path and the field of gastroenterology. As a member of the ACG Minority Affairs Committee, Dr. Irions visited Fox Tech High School with other committee members to talk about the digestive system and to demonstrate the field of endoscopy. Their focus was on the importance of higher education and reaching out to minorities.
