Dr. DeLegge Receives ASPEN Award

February 19, 2008 – Mark DeLegge, MD, Professor of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and Director of the Medical University Hospital Digestive Disease Service Line, recently received the 2008 Outstanding Contribution Nutrition Physician Award from the American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN).

Each year A.S.P.E.N. recognizes and presents awards to members who have contributed to the body of nutrition support practice knowledge and the betterment of the society as a whole. Their accomplishments have improved the quality and efficacy of the profession and their actions provide a positive example for healthcare professionals. Dr. Delegge was also elected to their research foundation board – the Rhode’s Research Foundation.
