South African Meetings Attended by Dr. DeLegge

Mark DeLegge, MD
March 28, 2007 – Earlier this month, during the week of March 12-16, Dr. Mark DeLegge traveled to South Africa to participate in two international meetings on nutritional critical illnesses. The meetings, hosted by the South Africa Nutrition and Critical Care Society, were held first in Capetown and then in Johannesburg.
Each of these two-day events included presentations covering both Basic Science and Clinical Research. Invited speakers (one of which was Dr. DeLegge) numbered three from the United States, two from Europe, and two from South Africa.
Conference attendees also toured large government medical facilities, focusing mainly on the emergency rooms and critical care units.
