First-Year Fellow to Attend IBD Conference

Bruce Kalmin, MD
March 20, 2007 – Dr. Bruce Kalmin, a first-year fellow with the Digestive Disease Center, has been accepted to attend the 2007 Mentoring in Inflammatory Bowel Disease Program: Evolving Concepts With Biologics in IBD. This conference is to be held at the Annenberg Center for Health Sciences in Rancho Mirage, California (near Palm Springs) from May 3 - 5.
This is a very competitive IBD conference for fellows. It is quite unusual for a first-year fellow to be selected to attend. Normally, fellows are asked to bring a couple of unusual IBD cases that have been seen at their centers to discuss with the IBD national thought leaders. If you have any IBD cases that are unusual or have great teaching points, please let Bruce or Dr. Lawrence Comerford know.
Congratulations on this acceptance, Bruce.
